I originally went to Viet Nam in May of 2019. I booked a 10 day tour with Exotic Voyages and let them set the individual/small group tours, hotels and in country flights. The tour took me from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay to Hoi An to Hue to Saigon. It was an amazing experience, and gave me a great overview of the country from the north to the central to the south. It was a great tour package, but left very little free time to explore things outside of the scheduled tours.

May in Viet Nam is freakin' hot and humid. I decided I wanted to come back when the weather was a little cooler and I could spend more free time.

So, I booked another tour with EV in January and only went to Hanoi for five days, with a day trip to Ninh Binh Province and two days in Saigon, with a couple of days in Siem Reap, Cambodia to see the temples in and around Angkor Wat. Other than night food tours and a photography tour of the temples in Cambodia, all the time in country was free time for me so I could explore and do what I wanted to do.

I would highly recommend that you visit Viet Nam. It's an incredibly beautiful country, cheap as hell and full of history.

Please enjoy some of the pictures I took on my latest visit.
